Modern Construction Projects Will Increase Demand for Glass in Myanmar

With the extensive development of architecture and infrastructure in Myanmar, especially in Yangon, the use of glass is increasing. Major projects using glass include Sule's Centrepoint Towers Hotel, Sakura Tower and Myanmar International Convention Center. More and more construction projects to be implemented in Myanmar are closely following the modern trend of using more glass, which has led to a surge in demand.

With the surge in foreign direct investment, it is expected that Myanmar will see more major projects break ground, and the current investment in foreign countries (2017-2018) is estimated to exceed US$3.5 billion. The value of the country's construction sector has expanded from $8.2 billion in 2015 to $13.5 billion in 2020.

U Maung Maung Win, Deputy Minister of Planning and Finance, stressed that foreign direct investment is vital to Myanmar's infrastructure sector, special economic zones and industrial zones, and ultimately contributes to Myanmar's economic development.

As more and more capital is invested, new projects will begin and industry players must be able to keep up with new materials, technologies and business trends. As Myanmar's construction and construction industries (including industrial, residential and commercial projects) are exponentially growing, this presents many opportunities for the glass industry.

Myanmar 2018 Glass Exhibition - Myanmar's International Glass Technology Expo is a comprehensive platform to showcase business to the Myanmar market. For key decision makers in the industry – architects, engineers, contractors, quantity surveyors, importers, distributors, distributors and regulators – this platform will play an important role in adopting new Hope for business partnerships and businesses to promote this industry.

The 2018 Glass Exhibition in Myanmar will be held in Myanmar's 2018 International Exhibition on Construction Industry and Conference in Yangon, Myanmar. This is also the first international architectural exhibition in Myanmar and is expected to attract more than 7,000 trade visitors.
