Asahi Glass will invest 10 million euros in the production of vacuum glass

Asahi Glass Co., Ltd. cooperates with Panasonic to produce Fineo glass series with thermal and acoustic insulation. The performance of the Fineo series is superior to that of ordinary three-layer glass products, and the aesthetics are also improved. This product combines the display technology of Panasonic Corporation and the processing technology of Asahi Glass. Fineo products are thinner than similar products, and their weight is about one-third lighter than similar products. Thin and light vacuum glass can effectively improve the light transmittance of the product.

Fineo's new products can be paired with the existing multi-functional glass of Asahi Glass to be used in solar control, safety and acoustic glass products.

The Lodelinsart plant in Belgium will be officially put into operation in March 2019. Serge Martin, manager of the new business development department of Asahi Glass USA, said: “Fineo will help us introduce a new generation of ultra-high performance windows or use new glass technology to optimize existing window frames. There may be more optimizations in product performance."
