Flat glass US PPI index released in November, glass and glass materials prices increased compared with the same period last year

The US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) recently announced a new PPI index (production price index). The prices of glass and glass materials in November have risen and fallen, but the overall increase has been compared with the same period last year.

According to data released by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the PPI index for flat glass products in November fell by 0.1% from October, but increased by 2.2% compared with the same period last year.

The PPI index for flat glass manufacturing fell by 0.2% in November, which was 5% higher than the same period last year.

The price of metal processed products fell by 0.1% in November. In the bulk commodity classification, the PPI index for metal-processed products rose by 8.3% compared to last year. The price of decorative and construction metal manufacturing in November increased by 3.8% from October, but it was up 14.3% from the same period last year.

The PPI index for metal window products rose by 1.4% in November, an increase of 11.2% compared to the same period last year. The November PPI for metal door and doorframe products rose 0.1% from October and 6.9% from the same period last year.

Construction hardware products, including accessories for the production of glass and glass materials, rose by 0.2% in November after a slight decline in October, which was 2.6% higher than the same period last year.
