Süddeutscher Verlag is Germany's first office building to receive LEED Gold certification. Compared with traditional buildings, the building saves 80% of disposable energy consumption and 35% of operating costs.

The design concept of the building is based on the design features of classical modernism: clarity, abstraction, and obvious horizontal and vertical asymmetrical layout. The 100-meter building is connected to the adjacent 6-story building through a transparent atrium that blends in with the sky and surrounding landscape.

Süddeutscher Verlag chose the Guardian SunGuard® (HD) Neutral 67 series for building facades. The solar coated glass product has a light transmittance of 66%, and the diamond-like appearance of the product is also very popular among customers.

The building also features a double façade design, built-in façade ventilation unit, independent ventilation control, good shading, precise office temperature control, and geothermal energy, all of which help reduce this Building energy consumption.
