Saint-Gobain invests 85 million euros in the Polish factory for float glass production

Saint-Gobain invested 85 million euros in the production of float glass at its plant in Dombrow-Gurnicze, Poland. The float line will increase production by 25% for glass products in the construction and automotive sectors.

The new float line is equipped with modern system procedures that reduce nitrogen oxide emissions and reduce energy consumption by 20%, with an average daily production capacity of 900 tons. The new float line also produces glass products with a thickness of 1.4 mm and a width of 4.9 m.

François-Xavier Moser, head of Saint-Gobain's market in Poland, Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey, said at the opening ceremony: "I am honored to participate in the commissioning ceremony of this modern production line today. This investment project is enough to show that Poland is the development strategy of Saint-Gobain. One of the important countries. We chose this place for glass production as early as 1994. Now we have more than 7,000 employees and 25 factories. Therefore, we can confidently say that our development in the Polish market is very stable. of."

In addition to the two float glass production lines, Saint-Gobain also has a mirror production line, a lacquered glass production line and a laminated glass production line at the Dombrow-Gurnichey plant.
